The original EK-Vardar was developed by EK Water Blocks and introduced in 2014. Since then, fans have been repeatedly upgraded. They support adjustable speed control over an extended range using PWM and the Start-Stop function, which turns off the fan if the PWM duty cycle drops below a threshold value. The design of the EK-Vardar EVO BB fans includes a double ball bearing. The service life is 50,000 hours.
