The advantages of the EK-Quantum Torque STC (Soft Tube Compression) fittings, designed for use with flexible hoses made of soft materials, including PVC and neoprene, include the simplicity and reliability of the connection provided by the design with a retainer ring holding the flexible hose. Such fitting does not require the use of clamps or detailed elements. The barbs on the fitting and the circlip are made of brass on a CNC machine. EK-Quantum fittings are available with an inner / outer diameter of 10/13 mm (3/8 ″ / 1/2 ″), 10/16 mm (3/8 ″ / 5/8 ″) and 12/16 mm (7/16 ” / 5/8 ”).
EK-Quantum Torque HTC fittings (Hard Tube Compression) are designed for rigid tubes made of hard materials, including acrylic plastic, glass, and metals. They are similar to fittings for flexible hoses, but in them, a retaining ring presses the tube with a rubber gasket. HTC EK-Quantum Torque fittings are available in external diameters of 12 mm (7/16 ″), 14 mm (9/6 ″) and 16 mm (5/8 ”).
