The new logo was only unveiled on Monday.

“I don’t like the thicker stripes, so we’re going back to the previous option,” Musk wrote on Twitter. “The logo will evolve.”

On Sunday, July 23, Musk announced he was renaming Twitter to X and said that if someone submitted a “good enough” logo that night, he would launch it the next day. This logo was suggested by Twitter user Sawyer Merritt.
