Elon Musk live-streamed gameplay of Blizzard’s Diablo IV on social network X, saying he was testing a new video game streaming feature.
X recently introduced a new feature that allows users to stream live videos on the platform. The company is now testing a video game streaming feature similar to Twitch.
Earlier in June of this year, Musk hinted that X would consider filling this niche for streamers. Twitch recently introduced new rules that directly affected streamers making money from branded content. After this, many players stopped streaming and moved to alternatives.
Elon Musk continues to turn X into an app for everything
According to X’s marketing page, there were approximately 91 million gamers on the platform between June 2020 and June 2021, with 70 tweets per second related to gaming.
Previously, Elon Musk has repeatedly said that he is going to turn X into an “app for everything.”
