The management of the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga officially extended the downtime with the payment of 2/3 of wages, as reported by the Autopotok insider Telegram channel.

This is the first extension of such a regime, made by the new owner – Avilon. The production partner has not yet been named to the employees.

The information is confirmed by the TASS publication, which writes that the shareholders of the plant decided to increase the downtime payment to employees in June to 2/3 of the average wage, and quotes a representative of the trade union:

Today, at a meeting of trade unions, the HR Director of the Avilon Group of Companies and the Acting HR Director of Volkswagen Group Rus LLC told us: “As an employer with a high level of social responsibility, in order to maintain the level of material and social security of employees, shareholders decided to increase the downtime payment in June to 2/3 of the average wage.
