Only a small percentage of iOS users switch to Android and vice versa
The results of a recent CIRP study conducted among Android and iOS users in the United States in the first quarter of 2020 show that they adhere to the chosen operating system.

The market share of the iOS operating system in the USA is 44%, and the share of Android is 56%. The new volume of iOS device activations in the US market grew by about 8%. Over the past two years, the share of iOS has increased by 12%.
Researchers found that iOS and Android users remain loyal to these operating systems in 90% of cases. Only a small percentage of iOS users switch to Android and vice versa.
Loyalty to the operating system is stable and at a very high level. Over the past four years, about 90% of new mobile phone activations came from the same operating system. Apple is trying to attract Android users, while Android device makers are also trying to lure iPhone users. However, in general, consumer preferences do not change.
