Exit the Gungeon will receive a major update this Friday, coming to PS4 with Xbox One

Devolver Digital has partnered with development studios Dodge Roll and Single-core to announce the imminent release of the next free update for Exit the Gungeon.

The patch is called Hello to Arms and brings new weapons, items, and shops to the game, the so-called arsenal mode (no limit on the number of guns carried), as well as a monster called Glocktopus.

The Hello to Arms update has been tested on PC since July this year. The patch was a reaction of the developers to the players’ dissatisfaction with the change of guns based on the combo level (or “Blessed” races).

Along with Hello to Arms, Exit the Gungeon will premiere on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – until recently, a spin-off of entering the Gungeon was considered a console exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.

On the Nintendo hybrid console, the game was released on March 17 of this year and will reach PS4 and Xbox One on November 13. Thus, the delay will be almost eight months (minus three days).

Unlike Enter the Gungeon, Exit the Gungeon offers not to go deeper into the Weapon, but to get out of it as soon as possible. Otherwise, it will collapse into itself due to the emerging temporary paradox.

Exit the Gungeon was released in September 2019 via Apple Arcade, and in March 2020 it appeared on PC (Steam, GOG) and Nintendo Switch. The spring premiere coincided with the release of Update 2.0.
