Final Fantasy VII remake producer sees teaser for new target platform in video message

The music department of Square Enix, in its microblog, published a message from the producer of the remake of Final Fantasy VII Yoshinori Kitase in connection with the upcoming concert in honor of the game. However, the video is not remarkable for this.

The journalists of the portal Twisted Voxel noticed that you could see two monitors with the launched the first episode of the updated Final Fantasy VII in the background in the video.

At least on one of the two screens, the game produces noticeably more than 30 frames / s, at which it works on the PS4. In this regard, Twisted Voxel suggested that the video did not show a version for the previous generation Sony console.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first such case. A video (also featuring Kitase) timed to coincide with the Final Fantasy VII remake release showed gameplay recorded on a PC.

Recall that the first release of the Final Fantasy VII remake is a temporary PlayStation 4 exclusive. Square Enix’s deal with Sony is scheduled for 12 months. Thus, the project will appear on new platforms for itself on April 10 of this year.

In addition to PC, the debut episode of the modernized Final Fantasy VII will appear is not known for certain. Still, rumors wooed the game on both the previous generation ( Xbox One ) and current ( PlayStation 5 ) consoles.

The first episode of the Final Fantasy VII remake was released in April 2020 on PS4. According to unconfirmed information, the announcement of the PS5 version (probably without a free upgrade) should sound before the end of February.
