It is now compatible with five more Sigma lens models
Sigma has released a firmware update for the Sigma MC-11 EF-E Adapter, which allows Canon EF mount lenses to be used with Sony E mount lenses.
Firmware update expanded compatibility of Sigma MC-11 EF-E adapter
The firmware update expands the list of lenses with which the specified adapter is compatible by five positions. More precisely, after the upgrade, the adapter becomes compatible with Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary, Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports, Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary, Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports and Sigma 20mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art. The manufacturer specifies that the lenses must have the latest firmware versions: 2.03, 1.02, 2.07, 2.02 and 2.01, respectively.
To install the update, connect the MC-11 EF-E adapter to the computer using the supplied USB cable and run the Sigma Optimization Pro program. If a newer version of the firmware is available than the one already installed in the adapter, the program will inform you about the availability of an update and ask you to install it. To complete the update, you just need to confirm the request.
