Record set on Asus RTX 4090 ROG Matrix
As we expected yesterday , it took quite a bit of time to still reach the 4 GHz mark when overclocking the GeForce RTX 4090.
Overclocker Splave did it just a few hours after setting the previous record. Splave used the Asus RTX 4090 ROG Matrix adapter, which is quite interesting, as it turns out that this model constantly changes places with Colorful iGame LAB when setting the next record.
For the first time in GPU history, graphics cards have been overclocked to over 4 GHz
The new record is 4005 MHz for the GPU. This is the first case in history of overclocking the graphics core to a frequency of 4 GHz or higher. At the same time, the 3 GHz mark was submitted to the graphics adapter only three years ago. Then it was the RTX 2080 Ti.
It is likely that the current record can be broken in the near future, but it is unlikely that we will have such an active race of overclockers in the future, because a very important milestone has been overcome, and the next one is still very far away.
