Electric vans are already a reality and will soon be common on the road. At least in some countries. One step towards that is the announcement of an electric version of the popular Ford Transit cargo van. The Ford E-Transit van is not impressive against the background of electric passenger cars – neither battery capacity, which is 67 kWh, nor engine power, equal to 266 hp, nor mileage – it is 200 km, but the main advantage of the novelty cannot be taken away – it lies in the absence of harmful emissions and noise. In terms of the internal dimensions of the cargo compartment and the attachment points, the electric vehicle is fully compatible with its predecessors with internal combustion engines, which simplifies its implementation, and in terms of carrying capacity it surpasses them.

More specifically, the E-Transit is available in several variants, including three body lengths and three roof heights. The advantages of the van include the presence in the body of a power source designed for a power consumption of up to 2.4 kW, to which you can connect power tools and equipment.
The E-Transit van supports fast charging at charging stations – both AC and DC. It will be equipped with a Ford Mobile Charger for charging from a regular outlet. Separately, a Ford Connected Charge Station home quick charger will be available to fully charge the E-Transit battery in eight hours.
The equipment of the car can be distinguished by a large touch screen, 4G LTE modem and all-round cameras.
The van will start at $ 45,000 and should be on sale in late 2021.
