Fortnite Returns To iPhone Soon With NVIDIA Streaming Service

Despite the fact that Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store and then closed its developer Epic Games account, the game will soon be available again on the iPhone. This will be possible thanks to NVIDIA, which has created a web version of its cloud gaming service GeForce Now, capable of running in Safari for iOS.

NVIDIA first announced that it was working on the project back in August this year. The company focused primarily on Chromebooks but did not deprive smartphones and tablets of attention. It is worth highlighting one important advantage of the new service over Google Stadia: the gaming streaming service of the search giant is not yet supported by the iPhone and iPad, while GeForce Now will be able to work in any WebRTC-compatible browser.

Now it became known that the new feature will work on iOS devices before the start of the holiday season. NVIDIA currently offers GeForce Now for Mac, Windows, Android, and Chrome OS.

It’s unclear how well Fortnite will run on iPhones via GeForce Now. However, this will allow Epic Games to once again annoy Apple: the developer can continue to offer the game to iPhone and iPad users without paying the Californian company a cent.
