Fractal Define 7 Compact Case Introduced

A case with a steel side panel costs $ 100, with a glass panel $ 110

Fractal’s range of computer cases has been expanded with the Define 7 Compact. According to the manufacturer, in this model “the strongest features of the modern design of the 7th series are placed in a conveniently compact form.” The 427 x 210 x 474 mm case is designed for mini-ITX, mATX and ATX boards.

The top panel is removable. The user can choose between a steel panel with a sound-absorbing coating and a ventilated panel for additional cooling. The left panel is made of tempered glass.

The case has seven slots for expansion cards up to 341 mm long, and if there are no fans on the front wall, the permissible card length is increased to 360 mm. The maximum allowable PSU length is 200 mm, the height of the processor cooling system is 169 mm.

The designers provided for the installation of two drives of standard size 2.5 or 3.5 inches. In addition, there are two brackets in the kit, allowing you to install up to four more 2.5-inch drives.

The chassis has mounting points for seven 120 mm or four 140 mm fans. Normally installed one Dynamic X2 fan of each size. When using LFL, the front panel is suitable for a radiator up to 360 mm long, the top – up to 240 mm. A radiator 120 mm long can be fixed on the rear panel of the wall, and if you refuse the drive cage, a radiator 120 mm long can be installed in the lower part of the case.

On the I / O panel, there is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C connector, two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectors, as well as audio connectors and power and reset buttons.
