Free cargo navigator has appeared in 2GIS

The cargo navigator covers 99 cities and more than 4500 settlements in 30 regions of Russia. As the company said, with the launch of the service, 2GIS has become the largest free cartographic service with navigation for trucks in Russia.

Starting from Moscow and the Moscow region, at the moment 2GIS operates cargo navigation in 10 cities with a population of over one million: Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Samara, Chelyabinsk, and Ufa. In early 2021, the function is planned to be launched in St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, and Voronezh.

2GIS detailed information on logistics sites in cities with a population of one million: they displayed addresses of buildings, simplifying navigation in large warehouse areas. In addition, the cargo navigator is already constructing routes between the regions of Russia, taking into account the restrictions for cargo transport and reflecting the infrastructure along federal highways.

For this, 2GIS specialists have collected information about cafes, hotels, gas stations, service stations, tire shops, and recreation areas. On the map and in the 2GIS directory, the information will also appear about parking lots for trucks, their operating hours, the coverage of parking areas, and the presence of security. Information about the roadside infrastructure is available to all users of the service: both truck drivers and all motorists on intercity trips.

The user of 2GIS cargo navigation can configure individual parameters of the vehicle and cargo in the application, such as dimensions and weight of the vehicle, axle load. And the service will select the best routes without taking into account the streets where the passage of trucks is prohibited.

The navigator is available in 2GIS online and mobile version for iOS and Android. To activate, you need to go to the application settings.
