Fujifilm has introduced the Instax Mini 40 instant camera. It is the first camera of its kind to support Contact Sheet cartridges introduced at the same time. The features of the new cartridges include a black frame with orange lettering, which evokes associations with test prints of the film era, printed with a contact method.
Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 Camera & Contact Sheet Cartridges Introduced
The camera lens is characterized by an EGF of 35 mm. The camera determines the exposure parameters automatically. In this case, the shutter speed can take values from 1/250 to 1/2 s, and if necessary, the flash will fire. The device is equipped with a miniature mirror, useful for taking self-portraits. A characteristic feature of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 is the stylization of old film cameras.
It takes about one and a half minutes to get a picture, depending on the ambient temperature.
With dimensions of 104 x 121 x 65 mm, the camera weighs 330 g (without batteries and cartridge). It requires two AA batteries to work, which is enough for about 10 cartridges of 10 sheets of photo paper each.
The camera is estimated by the manufacturer at $ 100. Sales are due to start later this month. At the same time, Fujifilm Instax Mini Contact Sheet Cartridges will be available for $ 15 apiece.
