Gainward GeForce RTX 3000 Phoenix Golden Sample Series Gets Factory Overclocked

NVIDIA will be unveiling a new generation of GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards based on Ampere architecture in a few days. As indicated by the resource VideoCardz, the new items will be the first gaming cards of the company, the GPU of which will use a 7-nm production process.

As it became known, the Chinese manufacturer of computer components, the Gainward company will be one of the first to offer customers non-reference versions of the new generation Ampere video cards, presenting a new series of Phoenix Golden Sample next week. It will include at least two older models of graphics accelerators – GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080, built on the basis of the NVIDIA GA102 GPU.

Both cards are available in black and silver colors and will offer a variety of RGB lighting effects. In the system unit, each new product will occupy 2.7 expansion slots. Both cards feature massive three-fan cooling systems and a backplate for rigidity.

If you look at the images provided by the source, you can see that both new products use a compact PCB, which is much smaller in size than the cooling system. In this case, the last third fan expels hot air from the radiator open in the back of the CO.

The images also show the technical characteristics of the new item, which confirm yesterday’s leak. The GeForce RTX 3090 model uses 5248 CUDA cores, is equipped with 24 GB of GDDR6X video memory at a speed of 19.5 Gb / s, and the declared TGP value of the card is 350 W. The GeForce RTX 3080 has 4,352 CUDA cores, 10GB of GDDR6X memory at 19Gbps, and power consumption of 320W.

Both new items received factory overclocking. The GPU frequency of the older model can be automatically increased to 1725 MHz, while the GPU of the younger model can be automatically overclocked to 1740 MHz.

The main features of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series video cards will be the second generation of hardware for processing ray tracing (Ray Tracing Cores), the third generation of tensor cores (Tensor Cores), support for the PCI-Express 4.0 interface, memory, the use of new GDDR6X memory in older models, as well as a new generation of NVLink, which will only be available on RTX 3090 models.
