At one time, the Nubia Red Magic 5G was the first in the world to receive a display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. According to a famous Chinese insider hiding under the pseudonym Digital Chat Station on the social network Weibo, the future Red Magic 6 Pro will be equipped with an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. This is almost three times higher than the usual 60 Hz frequency that most modern smartphones have. This should have a positive impact on the mobile gaming experience.

In turn, ZTE CEO Ni Fei spoke about another feature in future gaming smartphones. There will be special indentations for the index fingers on the left and right sides, which have a touch surface. According to Ni Fei, the touch regions’ frequency will be 400 Hz to ensure the fastest and most accurate response intense moments in games. Previously, no manufacturer has implemented this in their products.

Also, smartphones will receive a unique active cooling system. Nubia is working with Tencent Games (PUBG, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Mobile) to optimize their Red Magic 6 smartphones games.

The Red Magic 6 series devices’ release should take place soon, but the exact dates are not yet known.
