Sales have already begun
Garmin has updated the Tactix 7 series almost 18 months after its debut. Let us recall that the Tactix 7 series was produced in Standard, Pro, and Pro Ballistics versions, the cost of which ranged from 1100 to 1600 dollars. All three models had the same basic specifications, including the MIP LCD screen.
The new model with the self-explanatory name Tactix 7 AMOLED uses an AMOLED screen. As a result, the Tactix 7 AMOLED offers a brighter and arguably more versatile display than other Tactix 7 models. Additionally, the new variant offers an increased resolution of 454 x 454 pixels, while its predecessors use a 280 x 280 pixel matrix.
Garmin has released an improved Tactix 7 smartwatch – with an AMOLED screen
Moreover, the Tactix 7 AMOLED supports Always-On Display (AoD) mode, like many other modern smartwatches. However, activating this feature reduces battery life from 31 to 11 days. By the way, if you leave AOD and GPS enabled, the estimated operating time is reduced to 58 hours. Other features remained unchanged – water protection (10ATM), sapphire crystal, and titanium bezel.
Sales of Tactix 7 AMOLED have already begun for $1,400.
