Geely has been in the lead since last June
The press service of the Belarusian Automobile Association reported that since June last year, the Chinese brand Geely has been the unchanging monthly leader in the country.
In January of this year, 543 Geely cars were sold, the second and third places were taken by Lada and JAC, respectively. Total sales in January decreased by 46% and amounted to 756 cars.
With a share of 72%, the domestically produced Geely brand still dominates. The brand offer on the market has decreased to 11 brands, the model offer is only 34 positions, which is 4 times less than a year ago. At the same time, 14 out of 34 models are represented by Chinese brands, and the total share of Chinese passenger cars sold in January amounted to 78%.

He added that the “unorganized” market for the import of cars by individuals using legislative incentives prevents new Chinese, Iranian and other automakers from entering the market.
