Unfortunately, the slide itself is of rather poor quality, so we will not vouch for its authenticity. Nevertheless, VideoCardz points out that it was able to determine the percentage difference in the performance of the above three models of video cards. According to the source, graphics accelerators were tested as part of a system based on an Intel Core i9-10900K processor at a screen resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels.

Judging by the slide, NVIDIA is positioning the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti as a replacement for the GeForce RTX 2080 Super. The new card based on Ampere turns out to be several percent faster than the older solution based on the Turing architecture. Recall that both video cards are equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory, but the memory of the senior representative of Turing has a higher effective operating frequency – 15.6 GHz versus 14 GHz for the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

In favor of the new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, its estimated price will also speak, which will be significantly lower than that of the GeForce RTX 2080 Super at the start of sales in 2019. For the model of the middle segment of the generation Ampere, they predict a price tag below $ 400. In turn, the recommended cost of the older Turing model was $ 699.

The test results displayed on the slide are divided into three categories: rasterization, ray tracing, and rendering. In all three tasks, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Super. Even in the ray-tracing category, despite the fact that the GeForce RTX 2080 Super has a larger number of RT cores for processing them – 48 versus 38 for the younger Ampere model. Unfortunately, NVIDIA does not provide any technical characteristics of the new graphics accelerator. At the same time, VideoCardz points out that the company has confirmed that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will launch on December 2.
