Ghostrunner Demo Receives Content Update With Another Level And Gameplay Improvements
The development team of the cyberpunk action movie Ghostrunner from the studios One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks announced the release of an updated demo on the official microblog of the game.
The mentioned trial edition of Ghostrunner is available exclusively on PC (Steam) and offers three levels for passing – two already familiar from the previous version of the demo and one new one.
If the original “probe” ended on reaching the prison and releasing a certain Whisper, then the extended version allows you to find out the identity of this character and visit the so-called Cyber Abyss.
IGN published a full walkthrough (no comments) of the new demo version of Ghostrunner on its YouTube channel. The unfamiliar segment starts at 3 minutes and 38 seconds.
In an interview with PolskiGamedev, One More Level co-founder Radoslaw Ratusznik assured that those familiar with the old version of the demo will immediately notice the difference – the extended “probe” is based on a more recent Ghostrunner build.
“We read the feedback on the first demo that was released in May and paid a lot of attention to improving the smoothness of the game and the movement of the hero, maintaining acceleration. We also want to make chopping enemies into pieces even more fun, so we made changes to the graphics and sound, ”said Ratushnik.
Ghostrunner will be released on October 27 this year on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders have already started on all target platforms except Nintendo’s hybrid console.
