Gigabyte Unveils Aorus Model S Gaming Computer That Looks Like Xbox Series X
Gigabyte today unveiled two new gaming desktops in the Aorus series – the Model X and the Model S. The former was covered in previous news. Like the desktop model mentioned earlier, the Aorus Model S is also ready to offer AMD’s hardware platform, but the choice is not limited only to it.
Novica is assembled in a compact body with a volume of 14 liters and in shape resembles Microsoft’s Xbox Series X game console. The dimensions of the system are 190 x 189 x 400 mm. The Aorus Model S can be based on the latest AMD or Intel processors. In the first case, the system will be equipped with a motherboard with an AMD B550 chipset and a Ryzen 9 5900X processor. The Intel version uses a motherboard with an Intel Z590 chipset and is ready to offer the flagship eight-core Core i9-11900K processor of the Rocket Lake-S generation.
The Aorus Model S, based on AMD and Intel platforms, each has 32 GB of DDR4 RAM. In the first case, its effective frequency is 3600 MHz, in the second – 4000 MHz. Both gaming PC options offer two M.2 SSDs, one with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 interface and a 2TB PCIe 3.0 interface.
Realtek 2.5GbE and Intel 1GbE controllers are responsible for the wired connection to the computer network. In addition, there are Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0 (5.1 for Intel-based models) wireless adapters.
In both cases, a GeForce RTX 3080 video card is offered as a graphics subsystem. The power supply of the Aorus Model S gaming desktop is 750 watts. The manufacturer does not announce anything about the prices and the date of going on sale of the gaming PCs of the Aorus Model S series.
