The average score for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is 96/100
The creator of the God of War series about the legendary warrior Kratos, David Jaffe, has retired from video game development, but he continues to be a gamer. In his last post, he criticized The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch.
He admits that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom turned out to be a very good game. This confirms the average score on Metacritic: after publishing 90 reviews, it is 96/100. The user rating of the game is 87/100 based on 3400 reviews.
But he doesn’t understand why no one mentions the game’s frankly weak graphics when talking about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in an overwhelmingly positive tone.

God of War creator criticizes the graphics of the new “Zelda”
I don’t care about realism in games. And I’m not saying the game is bad. For me, gameplay is always the main (and often) the only thing I care about. But this game feels very bland and old in my opinion, and given how important the visuals seem to others, it seems like it’s worth discussing.

Released in 2018, the new game in the God of War series won the “Best Video Game of All Time” award in a vote that was attended by 26 million people.
