So far, the update has begun to spread for Nokia smartphones in India. Judging by the reviews on the official Nokia community forum and messages on Telegram, the update has already been received by Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.2, and Nokia 8.1.

The proprietary Google Phone dialer application is preinstalled as the main “dialer” for the Google Pixel line, smartphones with pure Android as part of the Android One, and Xiaomi programs in several European countries.

It is expected that starting with Nokia, developers will not stop and will release a corresponding update for other smartphones, including Xiaomi. In addition, the application can be installed independently from Google Play. The exact timing of the mass launch of the update with the call recording function is still unknown.

Recall that in mid-January, the first hints of the imminent appearance of call recording in the Google Phone application were revealed. At the end of January, enthusiasts from the XDA Developers community of mobile developers were able to activate and test the function in the version of Google Phone 43, but for ordinary users, it remained unavailable.
