Google has announced a new feature for the mapping service Google Maps (Google Maps).
Google Maps Receives Community News Feed
The updated What’s Nearby (Explore) tab has a community news feed. The feed displays new reviews, photos, and posts added to Google Maps by users and establishment owners.
The function is designed to help users learn the news of the area and city and explore the city and find new places. There you can find out about the appearance of a new dish in your favorite restaurant, a temporary action, opening a veranda in the fresh air, see recommendations for a new area for yourself, and so on.
As the developer’s note, news from the community is in the most prominent feed. The function is gradually spreading and will soon become available for Android and iOS users worldwide, including in Russia.
