Charging won’t get much faster.
Google Pixel smartphones of the new generation, despite the announcement only a few months later, are already almost completely declassified. New data shed light on the power subsystem.
Charging on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will still be quite slow by today’s standards, although the power will increase by 4 watts compared to its predecessors. That is, we are talking about 24 and 27 watts, respectively. Wireless charging power will increase by 3W to 23W for both models.
Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will compete for the title of the slowest-charging flagships.
Pixel 8, despite being smaller than the Pixel 7, will get a more capacious battery: 4485 versus 4270 mAh. At Pixel 8 Pro capacity will increase only nominally: from 4926 to 4950 mAh.
