The power subsystem leaves much to be desired

The folding smartphone Google Pixel Fold has very good cameras, one of the best screens on the market, and very mediocre battery life.

In the DxOMark power subsystem test, the novelty received only 88 points. For comparison: the best results are about 150 points.

In fact, this is one of the worst results in the source ranking. Below are only a dozen devices, and the worst result is 75 points.

Such performance of the Pixel Fold is due to both rather slow charging, due to which the smartphone is charged 80% in 1 hour, and a full charge takes almost 2 hours, and autonomy. In the source test, the smartphone worked for 1 day and 23 hours. By comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold5 scored 114 and lasted two days and six hours. Even the Galaxy Z Fold3 got a score of 92 at the time.

Of course, folding smartphones in the book form factor are inferior to most monoblock ones in terms of autonomy, as they offer larger main screens and less capacious batteries.
