Google postpones release of Android 11 amid protests in the US
“We’re happy to tell you more about Android 11, but this isn’t the time to celebrate,” Google said on its Android developer site.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday. The company promised to publish more information about the new version of Android “in the near future”, but did not give an exact date.
Protests that hindered the release of Android 11 spread throughout the United States after the murder of a white police officer, Black Minneapolis George Floyd.
