GPU GeForce RTX 3090 under liquid nitrogen was able to accelerate to 2580 MHz

Few of the newly minted GeForce RTX 3080 owners are ready to experiment with extreme overclocking of these video cards, and among the owners of the more expensive GeForce RTX 3090 there are even fewer of them. In this sense, the experience of an EVGA representative is interesting, who overclocked the service video card GeForce RTX 3090 to 2580 MHz in terms of the frequency of the GPU.

Known under the pseudonym K | ngp | n, enthusiast Vince Lucido shared the results of overclocking the GeForce RTX 3090 video card from EVGA, which the company named with the same name as the author of the experiment. While such experiments are mainly decided by staff members of video card manufacturers, Vince Lucido for EVGA was no exception in this regard. With a supply voltage of 1.069 V, it was able to raise the frequency of the GeForce RTX 3090 GPU to 2580 MHz by cooling it with liquid nitrogen.

It should be admitted that the younger GeForce RTX 3080 barely overcame the 2400 MHz line in such conditions, so the progress of the older video card is obvious. The Intel Core i9-10900K central processor in the EVGA Z490 Dark K | ngp | n motherboard overclocked to 5.2 GHz with ten cores and ten threads active, it was cooled by a water block. In the 3DMark Port Royal test, the system of this configuration scored 16 673 points, but there is no doubt that overclockers in this direction will advance further pretty soon.
