Hackers hacked four games at once – The Medium and The Yakuza Remastered Collection
In 2021, hackers have already sent Hitman 3 to pirated resources, and now The Medium and The Yakuza Remastered Collection have suffered the same fate. The latter includes reprints of three parts of the series at once – Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5.
According to the CrackWatch portal, in the case of the fresh horror movie Bloober Team, the attackers did not even have to try. The developers decided not to provide The Medium with any DRM protection. As a result, the CODEX group quickly made a pirated release and sent it to torrent trackers.
The Yakuza Remastered Collection also did not particularly try to defend against hackers. The bundled projects were equipped with standard Steam DRM protection. Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have decided not to license Denuvo. The already mentioned CODEX group is responsible for breaking the collection.
Recall that some of last year’s games did not make it to pirated resources, despite the efforts of hackers. These include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and others.
