Released in 2020, Half-Life Alyx was intended only for players with VR devices.
However, a recently released mod for Half-Life: Alyx allows you to fully play the game without a VR helmet. Finally, the game that received the highest ratings is available to ordinary gamers.
Half-Life: Alyx is finally playable without VR glasses
The Half-Life Alyx NoVR mod was released earlier, but according to the creators, the game can now be played from start to finish with working gravity gloves, enemies, weapon upgrades, and everything else.
The developers continue to work on the mod, and it is not yet possible to get all nine achievements. The final version should receive many more updates to animation, user interface and various interactions.
Half-Life Alyx is one of the best VR games available today, with an average Metacritic score of 93/100.
