Hangar 21 Trailer: AMD Returns Spectacular Technology Demonstrations On Nov 19th

There was a time when AMD and NVIDIA competed in technically advanced demos utilizing all the cutting edge technology of their latest graphics products. Especially striking were the videos featuring Ruby, the symbol of Radeon. It looks like these times may return soon.

And although NVIDIA continues to release such tech-demos ( Project SolApollo 11, and Marbles can serve as examples ), AMD has not focused on this in recent years. And now the launch of graphics cards with the RDNA 2 architecture is approaching – one of the most important in the history of Radeon in recent years. Unsurprisingly, the company promises to release a demo that actually uses the latest innovations from the AMD Radeon RX 6000 family.

The company promises to present the full video of the technology demo, called Hangar 21, along with the graphics cards on November 19, but for now, a trailer has been published to get some idea. Unfortunately, we do not seem to see Ruby return – she is being replaced here by some unsympathetic android. But in the video, AMD promises stunning bright graphics that take advantage of all the advantages of a new generation architecture like the AMD FidelityFX group of effects and Microsoft DirectX 12 Ultimate technologies. In the video, you can easily see the realistic lighting and shadows that are clearly rendered using real-time ray tracing. Hopefully, in addition to the full video of the demo, owners of the new AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards will also be able to download the tech demo and run it on their PCs.
