Recall that Homeworld 3 was presented by Gearbox Publishing back in August 2019 and since then has not received a single gameplay presentation.

During these one and a half years on the website of crowdfunding service Fig, where the fundraising for the creation of Homeworld 3 took place, Blackbird Interactive reported on the development progress on a more or less regular basis.

The latest announcement of this kind (dated April 15th) contains a 28-second gameplay snippet of Homeworld 3 showing the capabilities of Railgun Frigate, a new ship for the Homeworld universe.

In the interview attached to the fragment of the gameplay, the developers also spoke in detail about the presented frigate, including its concept, design, and weapons.

So far, Homeworld 3 is announced for PC only. During the crowdfunding campaign on the Fig website, they managed to raise $ 1.5 million for the game’s production. Despite the end of fundraising, users can still invest in the project.

Homeworld 3 is expected to be released in the fourth quarter (October to December) 2022. Closer to the launch, fans will find “beautiful trailers, gameplay videos and big details like a list of target platforms
