There are few details about the concept yet
Honda turned heads at the Japan Mobility Show by bringing back a legendary model called the Prelude.
Interestingly, the presentation didn’t include any details other than that the new Prelude is “designed to combine electrification and driving pleasure.” We are probably talking about a hybrid power plant.
Honda Prelude concept unveiled: the original model has not been produced for more than 20 years
The company didn’t provide details, but Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe shared some interesting remarks after the Prelude’s unveiling. Underscoring the company’s commitment to future sports models mentioned in 2022, he said the concept “will be a precursor to our future model, which will inherit the joy of driving in a fully electrified future and embody Honda’s enduring sporting mindset.”
The new Honda Prelude is a reincarnation of the original model, produced from 1978 to 2001. It was front-wheel drive and equipped only with gasoline engines, the most powerful of which produced 217 hp.
It was also the first Honda to have a sunroof.
