Honda has confirmed the launch of a revocable campaign that spans 1.4 million cars in different countries. The reason for the recall was the identified fuel pump malfunction.
Honda recalls 1.4 million cars worldwide
Fortunately, so far the company has not received any reports of traffic accidents or injuries resulting from this defective component. In the event of a fuel pump failure, the car may stall in motion or simply refuse to start.
The recall campaign covers models such as the 2018-2019 Honda Accord, Acura NSX, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, and Civic Type HR-V. Also on the list are the 2019 Acura RDX / RLX / RLX sports hybrid, Honda Fit, and Honda Insight 2019-2020. A total of about 136,000 of the 1.4 million recalled vehicles are in the United States.
Owners of cars that are on the list will be able to deliver the car to a car dealership to replace the fuel pump for free. All recalled vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump located inside the gas tank.
