Honor agreed with Microsoft to use Windows 10 on MagicBook Pro laptops
Chinese sources, citing representatives of Honor and Microsoft, said that Windows 10 will become the “official operating system” on the laptops of the Chinese manufacturer. From the context, Honor has entered into an agreement with Microsoft to obtain an operating system from the American company under an OEM license.
On sale laptops Honor MagicBook Pro on the Intel Core i5 platform with “official” Windows 10 promise to appear in January of the new year, first in China, and then in foreign markets, including Russian. Also in January, a new generation of MagicBook notebooks will be introduced.
“Microsoft hopes to empower its OEM partners with innovative Windows 10 products and provide users with the latest technology,” said Huang Yiqun, general manager of Microsoft China OEM.
The Microsoft Windows 10 operating system was installed on Honor MagicBook Pro laptops before the current agreement, but with Honor connecting to Microsoft’s OEM network, it will definitely not get any worse, while it may well become a little cheaper for the manufacturer and, possibly, for the consumer.
