The device is supposedly based on an improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This is a chip that can be called Snapdragon 888 Pro or Snapdragon 888 Plus. The solution has not yet been officially presented, but smartphone developers are already testing it according to the available information.

Let’s briefly recall the configuration of Snapdragon 888. This is one powerful Cortex-X1 core with a frequency of up to 2.84 GHz, three efficient Cortex-A78 cores, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. The processor includes the Adreno 660 graphics accelerator and the Snapdragon X60 5G modem with data transfer rates of 7.5 Gbps.

The Snapdragon 888 Pro (Plus) solution is expected to differ from the progenitor by increased maximum frequencies of computing cores and a graphics node. However, specific values have not yet been given.

In addition to Honor, the Snapdragon 888 Pro (Plus) processor will reportedly be adopted by other Chinese smartphone suppliers. This chip is destined to become the “heart” of many flagship devices that will debut in the second half of this year.
