HP adds 5G support to the Specter x360 13 convertible laptop

HP has announced the next generation Specter x360 13 premium laptop with Intel Evo certification, featuring an 11th Gen Tiger Lake Core processor with Iris X e graphics.

The notebook is equipped with a 13.3-inch display with touch support. The panel can be rotated 360 degrees, thanks to which various modes are realized, including tablets. The maximum configuration involves the use of a matrix format OLED-4K (3840 × 2160 pixels) with 100 percent coverage of the color space DCI-P3 and brightness of 500 cd / m 2.

HP will offer options with different processors – up to the Core i7-1165G7 with four cores (eight instruction streams) and clocked at up to 4.7 GHz. The volume of LPDDR4x-3733 RAM reaches 16 GB.

Some modifications will carry a 5G modem onboard for operation in fifth-generation mobile networks. Talking about support for the range below 6 GHz.

Specifications include two PCIe NVMe M.2 SSDs, 32GB Intel Optane Module, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201, and Bluetooth 5 Wireless Adapters, HP True Vision 720p Webcam, Fingerprint Reader, Bang & Audio Olufsen with stereo speakers, Thunderbolt 4 / Type-C and USB 3.1 Type-A interfaces.

The convertible laptop is running Windows 10 Home. Sales will begin this month; price – from 1200 USD. 5G versions will be available in early 2021.
