HP Elite x2 G8 Notebook PC with Detachable Keyboard may include 3K display
HP will begin selling the Elite x2 G8 hybrid laptop in April on Intel Tiger Lake hardware platform: the novelty is presented at CES 2021, which is taking place in digital format.
The device is equipped with a 13-inch display with touch control. It can be a panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1280 pixels or a 3K matrix (3000 × 2000 pixels). The display cover can be detached from the keyboard base for stand-alone use in tablet mode.
Depending on the configuration, an eleventh generation Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor is used. The volume of LPDDR4x RAM reaches 16 GB, the capacity of the M.2 PCIe NVMe solid-state drive is 2 TB.
The Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 controllers are responsible for the wireless capabilities. Optionally, it is allowed to install a 4G / LTE module for connecting to cellular networks.
The computer has a Bang & Olufsen audio system with two speakers, a front-facing camera, a rear camera with an 8-megapixel sensor, two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, a USB Type-C 3.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Dimensions are 289.3 x 215.8 x 8.8 mm (14.1 mm with keyboard), weight – from 1.17 kg. The operating system is Windows 10 Pro. The price will be announced later.
