5G coming soon in every car?
Huawei is a leading provider of equipment for 5G networks, so it is not surprising that it decided to intensify work in this direction with regard to automobiles: for example, Huawei has signed an agreement with 18 automobile companies, under which they will all create the “5G automotive ecosystem”.
It is expected that this work will accelerate the introduction and commercialization of 5G technologies in the automotive industry.
Among the companies that signed up for cooperation with Huawei, there are exclusively Chinese firms.
These include very large companies (FAW, Changan, Dongfeng, SAIC, GAC, BAIC, BYD, Great Wall, Chery and JAC), as well as smaller caliber firms (Celis, Nanjing Iveco, Jinkang and T3). Not a single European company is listed, but this does not mean that they will not participate in the creation of the “5G automotive ecosystem”
indirectly – through their joint ventures with Chinese partners, which almost all European and American automobile companies have.
5G is expected to give a new impetus to the development of network and road infrastructure, as well as autopilot and autonomous transport systems.
