Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus with 5G support starts at $ 274
Huawei continues to release new smartphones, despite the dire plight caused by US sanctions. Recently, the mid-range model Enjoy 20 Plus 5G with model number FRL-AN00a was spotted in China Telecom’s product database. This made it possible not only to confirm the previously announced characteristics but also to find out the prices of different device options in China.
Chances are high that this device could be rebranded as Huawei Mate 40 Lite, Huawei Y9a, and Huawei P Smart Pro 2021 in different markets. Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus will be equipped with a 6.63-inch IPS screen with FHD + resolution and will not have cutouts thanks to a retractable 16-megapixel front camera module.
The rear multi-module camera is enclosed in a circular area, and its elements are arranged in the form of a 2 × 2 matrix: this is a standard 48-megapixel module, an ultra-wide-angle 8-megapixel module, a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor, and a flash. Earlier there were rumors that the smartphone will be equipped with the new Kirin 820 chip, but instead, Enjoy 20 Plus will receive a Mediatek Dimensity 720 SoC (two ARM Cortex-A76 cores @ 2 GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores @ 2 GHz, ARM Mali G57 MC3 graphics and a 5G modem.).
The device received a 4200 mAh battery and supports high-speed 40-W charging. From the looks of it, the Enjoy 20 Plus 5G has a volume rocker and a fingerprint reader on the right edge; SIM tray, USB-C port, and speaker grille at the bottom; as well as a 3.5mm audio jack at the top. The left side of the Enjoy 20 Plus 5G is not busy with anything.
The website of the operator China Telecom reports that Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus 5G will be available in three variants: with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage for 1,899 yuan (about $ 274); 6/128 GB priced at 2299 yuan ($ 332); and 8/128 GB for 2499 yuan ($ 361). It is indicated that the product will be available in black, green, white, and blue colors, with a market launch scheduled for September 3. In which countries, besides China, the smartphone will be sold is unknown, but it will definitely not support Google services, including the Google Play app store.
