The series now includes the Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E. These 5nm chips are manufactured at TSMC’s facility. Computing cores have the following configuration: 1 × Cortex-A77 with a frequency of 3.13 GHz, 3 × Cortex-A77 with a frequency of 2.54 GHz, and 4 × Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 2.05 GHz.

The Kirin 9000 includes a 24-core Mali-G78 graphics accelerator, while the Kirin 9000E has a 22-core one. Both solutions provide 5G support.

The upcoming Kirin 9000L chip is manufactured on Samsung lines using 5nm EUV (deep ultraviolet lithography) technology. US sanctions have prohibited the release of HiSilicon processors at TSMC enterprises since September last year.

The processor will receive a similar architecture to its brothers. Simultaneously, the maximum clock frequency will drop to 2.86 GHz, and the 18-core Mali-G78 accelerator will be included in the graphics unit.

It is also noted that the Kirin 9000L solution will be endowed with a single-core NPU designed to accelerate the processing of operations related to artificial intelligence.
