Huawei launches Qingyun W510 desktop PC with its own processor that can compete with systems based on Intel and AMD

The Chinese company Huawei, which is going through difficult times due to sanctions from the United States, has officially released the Qingyun W510 workstation, the preparation of which has been repeatedly reported earlier.

The computer is based on the proprietary HiSilicon Kunpeng 920-3211K processor, which has 24 computing cores with a clock frequency of 2.6 GHz. Used proprietary Taishan v110 kernels, compatible with Armv8.2.

The system is equipped with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM. Responsible for data storage is a 512 GB solid-state drive. The graphics subsystem includes a discrete AMD Radeon 520 accelerator, which, alas, cannot be upgraded.

The device’s arsenal includes a network Ethernet controller, USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports, an analog D-Sub interface, and standard audio jacks. The workstation will ship with a 23.8-inch Full HD monitor (1920 x 1080 pixels).

The Qingyun W510 desktop is expected to compete with workstations based on Intel Xeon and AMD Ryzen hardware platforms. The new product uses Deepin OS with a Linux kernel as a software platform.

It is assumed that the main buyers of Qingyun W510 will be government organizations, as well as corporate structures. No estimated price information available.
