Huawei P50 flagship smartphones should be released in the first half of 2021

The Chinese company Huawei may release a new flagship smartphone on its own hardware platform. At least, this is the kind of information that network sources spread today.

We are talking about devices of the Huawei P50 family. They will replace the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro smartphones, released this spring. They are based on the proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G processor.

Probably, the Huawei P50 series will also include at least two modifications – the basic one and the Pro prefix. Resource The Elec reports that the presentation of the devices will take place in the first half of next year.

It is claimed that the new products can be based on the proprietary Kirin 9000 processor. However, this information raises doubts in light of previous statements by Huawei’s management that the company’s latest flagship smartphones on Kirin chips will be the Mate 40 devices, which debuted a month ago. And Huawei cannot produce them due to the sanctions, so we have a chance to see Huawei flagships based on MediaTek or Qualcomm.

It is also said that the devices of the Huawei P50 series will receive OLED screens, which will be supplied by Samsung Display and LG Display. The characteristics of these panels have not yet been disclosed.
