Huawei updates thin MateBook D laptops with Intel Tiger Lake processors

Huawei today unveiled the MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15 2021 Edition laptops based on Intel hardware platform. Acceptance of orders for new items is already open, and the actual sales will begin on January 1.

Laptops are equipped with displays measuring 14 and 15.6 inches, respectively. In both cases, Full HD panels with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and 100% sRGB colour space are used.

Laptops are equipped with Tiger Lake generation processors. Modifications are available with quad-core (eight instruction streams) Core i5-1135G7 (2.4-4.2 GHz) and Core i7-1165G7 (2.8-4.7 GHz) processors. The amount of RAM is 16 GB, the capacity of the solid-state drive is 512 GB.

Graphics processing, depending on the configuration, is handled by an integrated Intel Iris Xe accelerator or a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX450 video adapter.

The equipment includes a fingerprint scanner, a Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter, USB Type-C ports, USB 3.2 Gen1, USB 2.0, an HDMI interface and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. The younger version weighs 1.38 kg, the older one – 1.56 kg.

Both new products start at $ 765. The maximum configuration of the MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15 2021 Edition will cost $ 980.
