According to analysts, about 1.24 billion smart cellular devices will be sold globally in 2020. Of these, approximately 235 million units will be 5G devices. Thus, the penetration of smartphones with 5G support will reach 18.9%.

Huawei will be able to ship approximately 74 million 5G devices, accounting for 31% of this market segment. In the second place, according to the TrendForce forecast, Apple will be located with 70 million released 5G-iPhone models and a share of 30%. Bronze will go to Samsung – 29 million units and 12%.

This will be followed by three Chinese developers at once – Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi. By the end of 2020, these companies are expected to be able to sell 21, 20, and 19 million 5G smartphones, respectively. The shares will be 8-9%.

All other vendors collectively will only be able to account for about 2% of the global 5G smartphone market.
