BREAKS THE AIR – After unveiling it at the end of June, the Korean house now releases more detailed information on the Hyundai Ioniq 6 . 485 cm long, 188 cm wide, with a height of 149 and a wheelbase of 295 cm, it is a sedan that stands out for its original and futuristic design. The aesthetics, however, is not an end in itself since the Ioniq 6 can boast a record coefficient of aerodynamic penetration, equal to 0.21.

REAR OR FULL – The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is based on the e-GMP platform, developed by the Hyundai Group for 100% electric vehicles. The 77.4 kWh battery allows a theoretical distance of 610 km on a single charge. It can be paired with a rear-wheel drive (RWD) powertrain with a single engine or all-wheel drive (AWD) with two engines. The twin-engine AWD top-of-the-range configuration produces a combined power of 324 hp and 605 Nm of torque, capable of going from 0 km / h to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds. Thanks to the presence of the 800 V charging system, the battery can be recharged from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes.

DRIVING MODES – The driver of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 can adjust parameters such as steering resistance, engine power, accelerator pedal sensitivity, and, in the two-engine versions, the traction mode (automatic, AWD, RWD ). The Ioniq 6 also features what the company calls Electric Active Sound Design (e-ASD), a technology that reproduces a spaceship-like sound inside the cockpit.

TECHNOLOGICAL INTERIORS – The interior of the Hyundai Ioniq 6, available in dark gray with light gray, dark olive green with light gray, black with light brown, and black, marries the minimal style, with particular care for recycled materials. The dashboard is dominated by a large digital element that integrates a full-touch display for the multimedia system and one for the instrumentation, both measuring 12.3 inches; at the ends, there are rear-view screens, while the center console has been reduced to the essentials. The interior of the car is customizable with 64 colors for lighting and six dual-color themes; Speed Sync Lighting mode changes the brightness of the interior lighting according to the speed of the car. A lot of attention is also paid to comfort, with the Relaxation Comfort Seats (optional), which allow maximum relaxation by adjusting the seat angle. In addition, the seats have been made specifically for fully electric models and are about 30% thinner than those of other conventional models, thus providing more space for passengers.
