It accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds
Hyundai Motor introduced the updated Hyundai Veloster N, which is equipped with an eight-speed wet dual-clutch (N DCT) transmission.
The car received a robotic gearbox that allows the Veloster N to accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds. Unlike dry double-clutch transmissions, wet N DCT uses oil to improve lubrication and cooling properties.
The N Grin Shift (NGS) system increases torque by 7% from 353 Nm to 377 Nm, allowing the turbine to operate in short-term pressure boost mode for 20 seconds for maximum response. The N Power Shift (NPS) system turns on when accelerating with the throttle opening more than 90%. It mitigates the lack of torque by increasing the transmission stage to transmit maximum power to the wheels. The N Track Sense Shift (NTS) system recognises optimal driving conditions for dynamic driving. It allows you to choose the optimal gear and timing.
All functions of the car can be configured on a large 8-inch display, which complements the premium audio system JBL. Hyundai Veloster N also received an automatic “Re-Matching” (Rev Matching), Launch Control function and the function of short-term boost pressure increase (Overboost).
Veloster N received Hyundai SmartSense active safety systems, including a head-on collision avoidance assistant (FCA), a driver tracking system (DAW), a centre-lane holding system (LFA), a car-lane holding system (LKA), and the automatic headlamp levelling function lights (HBA), blind-spot monitoring system (BCW) and collision warning system when leaving the reverse parking lot (RCCW).
