Anti-Lag+ technology, recently launched by AMD, as it turns out, may cause a VAC ban in Counter-Strike 2.

I took advantage of new AMD technology and received a VAC ban in Counter-Strike 2.

Valve has confirmed that it will only be able to identify users who have already been blocked and unblock them when AMD releases an update. The company did not specify which one, but it refers to the fact that Anti-Lag+ works in a very specific way. The technology bypasses the game engine DLL functions, apparently to reduce latency. Valve does not specify, but probably this type of interaction with the game is negative for the game itself, which is what the Valve Anti-Cheat system reacts to.

Let us remind you that Anti-Lag+ is designed to reduce delays in games and is activated by the driver. The last point distinguishes Anti-Lag+ from Nvidia Refrex, support for which developers must manually add to their game.
