“I wish Cyberpunk 2077 looked like this”: Insomniac Games staff and players praised Ratchet & Clank’s graphics: Rift Apart
Insomniac Games chief designer Drew Murray and studio public relations manager James Stevenson named Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in absentia as the most beautiful game in the industry’s history.

The new gameplay trailer for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which introduced viewers to a mysterious Lombax girl named Rivet, was inspired by such bold statements by Insomniac Games employees.
“This is the most beautiful video game ever made. Point. It will not remain so forever, of course, but on June 11, I will be 100% confident in my words, ”said Murray, who recently returned to Insomniac Games.
Stevenson expressed a similar opinion in his personal microblog: “I played Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart at home on a 77-inch OLED. This is the most beautiful game I’ve ever seen. The team has outdone itself to create a showcase [of features] for the PS5 . “
The visuals of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was also impressed by ordinary players and industry figures. For example, Yan Chernikov, a former software engineer at Electronic Arts.
In a video on his auxiliary YouTube channel More Cherno, Chernikov analyzed the trailer and shared his impressions. One scene made the developer blurt out, “Damn, I wish Cyberpunk 2077 looked like this. “
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will go on sale on June 11 this year, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. On the night of April 29-30, a special State of Play release dedicated to (mostly) the game will be held.
